Indices of Multiple Deprivation 2010 Report for Warwickshire

The Warwickshire Observatory has now published their full report on the Indices of Multiple Deprivation 2010 (IMD 2010).

The IMD 2010 is the official measure of deprivation in England and the purpose of the indices is to identify small areas (Super Output Areas) which are experiencing multiple aspects of deprivation.  There is also a specific section on income deprivation affecting children (see page 29 in the report).

The report can be accessed here.

Welcome to the Warwickshire Observatory

The Warwickshire Observatory has today become the first official contributor to the Child Poverty blog.

This means the Observatory team can write and submit articles which they think will be relevant to the audience reading this blog.

As well as writing material for their own blog, the Warwickshire Observatory carries out regular research and identifies research and data that may be of interest.

For example, they highlighted a national report on SureStart schemes that started yesterday.

On their own blog they yesterday published a post on housing repossessions, which could be of interest to professionals using this blog.

And there have been various posts on deprivation in Warwickshire.
